5 days. Annual conference held in November. Average number of attendance: 200. 2010 theme was Voices of the Elders. Workshops offered are Indexing Basics: Principles and Practices of Indexing, Harvest Elders' Wisdom: Tools for Gathering Life Stories, Spiritual Memoirs, and the History of Faith-Based Organizations, Get Them Talking: Effective Interview Techniques (taught by a professional journalist), US and Canadian Copyright Law and more.

Accommodations: The locations of the conference is different each year. 2010 was held in Victoria, British Columbia, 2009 was held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Costs: $625 for members, $775 for non-members. Includes full conference registration, Wednesday-Sunday, materials, 2 luncheons, dinner and entertainment, and more. Does not include lodging, but special rates packages are available.
