Accommodations: 2011 cost: residency fee ranges from 600-700 Euro per week for individual retreats, depending on room, and includes full room and board, editorial consulting, laundry, sauna, hot tub overlooking Coulagh Bay, 5 acres of gardens, meadows, riverbank and cascades, river island, swimming hole, and several unique working spots, such as the ruin of a stone mill and a sod-roofed beehive hut. Overflow from workshops stay in nearby B& Bs, a 10-minute walk or 2-minute drive away. Transportation provided if needed. Details regarding transporation to Anam Cara available on website.

Poetry: Offers up to one-month individual retreats as well as workshops on a variety of creative subjects for writers and artists. Length of workshops varies with subject and leader/facilitator. Location: "Beara is a rural and hauntingly beautiful part of Ireland that is kept temperate by the Gulf Stream. The retreat sits on a hill overlooking Coulagh Bay, the mountains of the Ring of Kerry, and the Slieve Mishkish Mountains of Beara. The village of Eyeries is a short walk away." Average attendance: 5 residents at the retreat when working individually, 12-18 workshop participants.
